Call for Artists: Johns Creek Arts Center High School Art Exhibition 2019

The Johns Creek Arts Center is seeking artists for High Honors: Works by Student Artists.  This juried exhibition showcases the exceptional talent of high school student artists living in the metro Atlanta area.

There will be a $1000 scholarship awarded for best in show and $300 in other prizes.

The art will be on exhibit at the Johns Creek Arts Center June 8th through August 3rd.

The opening reception and presentation of awards will be held June 8 from 6-7:30 PM

Entry Deadline: May 24, 2019



This exhibit is open to all high school students currently enrolled in Fulton, Forsyth, and Gwinnett county schools.  Homeschool students of high school age are also eligible.

Only original artwork will be accepted.  All works must have been completed within the last 3 years.  Eligible media limited to mixed media, ceramics, drawing, fiber, printmaking, painting, photography, and sculpture.

Artwork limited to a maximum weight of 50 lbs for hanging work and 100 lbs for sculpture.  Work may be no larger than 48 inches (framed or installed) in any direction.

All work must be professionally presented and delivered ready to hang.  Accepted artists are responbile for delivery and transportation of work to and from the Johns Creek Arts Center during the designated drop off dates June 4th-6th, 2019 between 10-4.

JCAC may duplicate and reproduce images of artwork for publicity purposes.

All works must remain on view for the duration of the exhibition period.


Entry Process

Each artist may enter up to three works.  There is no fee to enter this exhibit.  Artists should submit images through the webform below.  Submissions will be accepted through May 17th.



Accepted artists will be notified on May 24th.  Accepted work will need to be delivered to JCAC during the designated drop off dates June 4th-6th, 2019 between 10-4



All work may be for sale or NFS.  If a work is sold during the exhibit the artist retains 75% of the selling price.  25% will be retained by the JCAC
